Bodies of E.T.F.
The E.T.F. is a religious organisation. Due to this the offices of the federal bodies must be held exclusively by Taoist ecclesiastics who document that they received Taoist initiation from a historical school, universally recognised and accepted.
The bodies of the E.T.F. are:
1) The European Taoist Assembly (ETA)
It is composed by the presidents or a legal delegate of the all organisations enrolled in the E.T.F.
Its purposes are to share the local realities of the associations, to consolidate the knowledge and the relationships of collaboration between all the Confederate and Adherent associations and to define a common and shared route by proposing initiatives for the spread of the Taoist religion in Europe.
2) The European Religious Taoist Council (ERTC)
It is the purposeful, elective and controlling body of the E.T.F.
It consists of the founding members of the E.T.F. and the Presidents or legal representatives of the associations qualified as "Confederate".
It elects from among its members, in separate votes for each office, the President and members of the Governing Council.
3) The Governing Council (GC)
It is the governing body of the E.T.F.
It consists of five members elected by the European Religious Taoist Council (ERTC): the President, the Vice-President, the Senior Councillor, the Secretary General and the Treasurer.
4) The President
The President is the legal representative of the E.T.F., has the power to sign, directs and coordinates all federal activity and is responsible for it.
It is the federal body responsible for dialogue with other religions.
Within the framework of the strategies and compatibility defined by the ETRC, has ample freedom to choose the ways and times to establish relationships and participate in and/or organise interreligious events to make our religion fully known and accepted in the assembly of all the others, with equal rights and historical, social and spiritual dignity.
